I Set 2019 Goals, Not Resolutions
This is the time of year when everyone is talking about their New Year’s Resolutions. I don’t set resolutions for myself. I set goals instead. While my goals resemble resolutions, they have more sticking power. A resolution is a decision to start or stop doing something. A goal is something I work toward.

My second goal for this year is to be the best president of the Ozarks Writers League humanly possible. My fellow members trusted me with this incredible honor and responsibility in good faith. I shall endeavor to make 2019 a great year for everyone at OWL.
My third goal is to concentrate more on my health. I’m getting older, and my medical condition makes me more susceptible to various ailments as I leave middle age and journey toward my golden years. I just paid a hefty medical bill from all the tests my doctor ordered late last year.
She found a few things that I need to address. Thankfully, it’s nothing insurmountable. I’ve had special nutrition needs for several years, so this is just one more thing to add. I’ve already implemented changes to my lifestyle and diet that should help me make great strides toward improved health.
Whether you set resolutions or goals, or decide to live your life one day at a time, I hope 2019 finds you healthy, productive, and happy. Thank you for reading Ozarks Maven!
