Help Me Celebrate Ozarks Maven’s First Birthday and Enter to Win a $25.00 Gift Card

THANK YOU to all of my Ozarks Maven readers! In honor of Ozarks Maven’s first birthday, I’m giving away a $25.00 gift card to one lucky reader. The winner gets to choose a gift card from one of the following: Amazon, Books A Million, Darden Restaurants, Lowes, McDonalds, Sears, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Walgreens, or Walmart.

To enter, simply go to the comments section and suggest a post topic about which you would like to read on Ozarks Maven, or tell me which Ozarks Maven post is your favorite and why. I will randomly select the winner from all of the comments received. The winner will be announced in my blog post on July 28, 2018. You must be 18 or older to enter. Void where prohibited.

Ozarks Maven turns one year old this month! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been sharing my seeds of wisdom and joy with you for nearly a year now. My very first Ozarks Maven post went live July 27, 2017. I introduced myself, talked about making home-made salsa, and gave you my salsa recipe. It sure doesn’t seem like it’s been a whole year. Where has the time gone?

Ozarks Maven keeps me busy, for sure. As my mom likes to say, it keeps me off the streets and out of the bars. In the past year, I’ve shared 175 blog posts, received over 5,200 views, and had readers in 27 countries. Marveling at my reader map has become one of my favorite pastimes.

I’ve had readers from the United States, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, Spain, India, Philippines, China, Brazil, Japan, Uganda, Malaysia, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Italy, Seychelles, South Korea, Croatia, Australia, Singapore, Bulgaria, Tanzania, Russia, Angola, Chile, Venezuela, and Slovenia. These countries are listed in order of the number of views received with the most views coming from the United States. Nothing makes me happier than sharing my words with the world.

I started this blog because I wanted to share some down-home Ozarks wisdom and increase my author platform at the same time. I wanted a place where I could explain the difference between a pressure cooker and a boiling bath canner while also keeping you informed about the book I’m writing, my contest winnings, and my publications. I wanted an outlet for my musings and to share a part of who I am. You could say Ozarks Maven is my legacy.

I still have much to learn about blogging. I still contact tech support every few months with an issue that confounds me. I am getting better at it, though. I hope to have all the kinks worked out and be able to tell you that Ozarks Maven is paying for itself by this time next year. In the meantime, I hope you continue to enjoy my little seeds of wisdom and joy!
