There’s nothing better than a hearty meal on a cold day. It’s cold and nasty here in Missouri, and I wasn’t about to go anywhere once I finally slid home on ice covered roads.
I firmly believe in using what I have on hand, so I went to my freezer and perused my options. I had a small bag of turkey I’d frozen from Thanksgiving and some dry Italian pasta shells. I decided turkey and pasta sounded amazing. It’s delicious and simple to make. Like all of my recipes, it’s easily customized.
Margarite’s Turkey & Pasta 64 ounces chicken broth 2 cups chopped turkey 2 cups pasta (whatever kind you have on hand) 1 Tablespoon Weber Roasted Garlic and Herb 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Add chicken broth to saucepan and bring to a boil. Add your turkey and dry pasta. Gently boil for at least 15 minutes.
Note: You can throw in some leftover or frozen veggies, too. Peas, carrots, celery, and corn are great in this dish. Just be sure to add more liquid if you expand the turkey & noodles. Don’t be afraid to use water if you don’t have chicken broth. Be creative and enjoy a warm down-home meal. Thank you for reading Ozarks Maven!
