I love doing Author Spotlights here on Ozarks Maven. This month, I’m highlighting my friend, Sharon Kizziah-Holmes. She is kind, generous, knowledgeable, and fun. I absolutely adore this woman, and I’m honored to call her my friend.
I met Sharon when she came to speak at a Joplin Writers’ Guild meeting many years ago. I got to know her at the Women’s Get-away Writing Retreat, which we both attend twice a year. As I expanded my writing circle by joining more groups and attending conferences, Sharon and I found ourselves in some of the same groups. We belong to Sleuths’ Ink Mystery Writers, Ozarks Romance Authors, and Ozarks Writers League together.

Sharon Kizziah-Holmes started writing songs in her teens and became an accomplished, professional musician. Although she continued to perform, her passion changed from playing music to writing fiction. After joining Ozarks Romance Authors she attended conferences, seminars and workshops to hone her skills and learn the fundamentals of both the writing and publishing industries. She loves to help authors realize their publishing dream. Even more, she loves to teach the basics of writing.
